Fascia: What & why?
- What is Fascia? New research shows that fascia plays a more important role in health, pain, and discomfort than previously thought. Fascia is the network of connective tissue that surrounds everything in the body – from muscles and bones to organs and cells. It is the structure and flow between all cells that maintain connection, communication, and interaction between different parts of the body. Fascia is a living, vibrating, multidimensional, pressure-distributing network.
- Why Fascia? Fascia is a way to explain how our body functions as a whole and why we are affected by so many different things. This enables a new way to assess a person’s health by looking at the whole and considering various aspects such as posture, balance, movement, lifestyle, nutrition, injuries, stress, thoughts, emotions, personal history, and trauma – everything that affects the fascia.
- The fascia perspective is a way to treat the customer as a whole, taking everything into account and simultaneously knowing how to start adjusting the small things that have the greatest impact, helping the body to self-heal.
