Research: New treatment for Frozen Shoulder

The aim is to reduce sick leave and bring quality of life to thousands of people in pain.

Frozen Shoulder is a movement disorder that affects about 40,000 Swedes every year and officially there is no cure but spontaneous healing occurs, hopefully, after 2-3 years. For those who have Frozen Shoulder, it hurts constantly, mobility is limited and thus the quality of life.

Everyday tasks that others take for granted, such as showering, getting dressed and cooking, become a project, with pain as constant company. It’s easy to feel useless, worthless and frustrated. Because how can there not be a solution!

In 2017, around 50 people came to us with Frozen Shoulder, so we did our best to help them and were surprised that in just a few treatments, most of them regained mobility, and that the results were lasting.

Another person who was impressed was the doctor Håkan Borg, who insisted that we do a scientific study.

So in spring 2018, the Ethical Review Board approved a study for “treatment of Frozen Shoulder with Swedish Fascia Vibes” and the results indicate that the treatment has great potential to be a potential treatment for patients with Frozen Shoulder.

What is Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder starts as a pain in the shoulder that eventually stiffens and leads to reduced mobility, a process that takes several months. There are indications that it can heal on its own but that healing usually takes two to three years.

However, there is new research that Frozen Shoulder is inflammation-related and through Fascia handling, several people have been helped with frozen shoulder, which further indicates that it is precisely tissue inflammation that the machine treats in a beneficial way.
